This spectacular davenport circa, 1860 has a moulded fall front with green tooled leather writing insert, the interior is in a striking birch with three small mahogany lined drawers and three faux drawers all with beautifully turned handles.
This stunning davenport has elegant scrolled carved upright supports, stands on turned bun feet and has been finished all the way round so may be placed in the centre of the room if so desired. The walnut has aged to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
