The interior has a pull out writing slide
With three writing slopes having the original worn leather, two ink wells and several birch small drawers with pigeon holes. This stands on two pedestals, each with three graduating mahogany lined drawers with turned handles and the whole piece stands on a plain plinth and splits into three sections for easy removal. This delightful desk shows signs of old repairs which in no way detract from its overall beauty it just adds to the country charm and character of this antique piece and the oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
