M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 1860s.
Highly-figured and richly-coloured walnut veneers throughout and of free-standing form . The mahogany-lined drawers all with applied moulded edges and fitted with original twin turned-knob pulls and brass key escutcheons and locks by "Hobbs & Co. London". The pedestals raised on original castors set beneath the plinth bases.

The desk divides into 3 parts for ease of movement and transportation.
In excellent original condition with no damage, losses or repairs. The green gilt-tooled leather top being an old replacement which has achieved a good atmospheric patina of wear and use.

Has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops, ready to use .
Supplied with a working key for centre frieze drawer only .
