With the original makers / retailers stamp W.H Travers Endell Street / Castle Street, Long Acre, W.C, this spectacular desk is of superb quality and dates from around 1880.
Each pedestal has four graduating mahogany lined drawers with decorative Arts and crafts brass handles. This stunning desk stands on a moulded plinth and has been finished around the back so may be placed in the centre of the room, it also splits into
three sections for easy removal. The oak has aged to a rich golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
