Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
With a moulded top with tooled leather writing insert above two longer over six smaller cock beaded drawers with figured mahogany fronts and later decorative brass handles. This lovely piece stands on shaped bracket feet and has been finished around the back with faux drawers so may be placed in the centre of the room. It is full of beautiful charm and character and splits into three sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
