Queen Anne Style Walnut Partners Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1900, Queen Anne style walnut, serpentine front freestanding partners desk. The leather tooled top is in 3 panels and is framed in a crossbanded top with a moulded edge, with serpentine ends and a polished back (with dummy drawers). To the front is one full length drawer with herringbone banding, cross-banding and cast brass handles and it has a drawer either side in similar style. With a serpentine shaped apron continuing around the whole desk and figured walnut veneers to the gables, it all stands on carved cabriole legs with carved shell to the top and a scrolling foot.
