Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a lovely quality walnut DAVENPORT or WRITING DESK of particularly good warm "honey" colour & patina.

Constructed of beautifully figured timber, the many features include: orginal turned baluster gallery; fitted interior with small drawers; two large slides; three long drawers (dummies opposite); carved and turned 'apple' feet whilst the whole top slides forward when in use.

***It also has two original solid walnut candle-holders which may be removed it not required ~ a rare feature not seen before. A gorgeous example. 20ins wide; 21.5ins deep; 35ins maximum height (51 x 54.5 x 89cms)
