A Sheraton Period, Satinwood Cylinder Desk

Description

In exceptionally original condition, this desk stands on square tapered legs with brass castors above which are 2 drawers, banded in Tulip-wood and with octagonal handles. The tambour roll top opens to reveal an interior consisting of a variety of small drawers and pigeon holes, the writing surface slides forward and rises on a ratchet, we believe that the green baize is original. Of very good colour and patination. 990mm high, 970mm wide, 660mm deep and 790mm writing height. Circa 1785.
