Early 1900s Oak Pedestal Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

This Oak pedestal desk dates from the early 1900s. We restored this a few years ago for the previous owner who has just moved and we have taken it in part exchange. It has had a few scuffs but overall it is in good useable condition. We have cleaned and waxed the timbers and refreshed the leather. Both are now very nice and tidy. It comes to pieces to be moved so not a difficult job.

The back is clean and presentable if you dont want to put it against a wall, the sides are panelled and the inside is tidy and useable, a few internal ink stains but nothing to stop it being used. It has a good working space on the top at 54 ins wide and 30 ins deep. The kneehole is a good size at 22.1/2 width and 23 ins high, it will take a chair as can be seen in one of the pictures......reserved..........

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
