The Antique Furniture Company has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
All drawers are finished with line carving, original brass Arts & Crafts influenced handles and have locks stamped ‘C & T London’. On plinth bases with concealed castors.

In a warm shade of walnut and finished with a traditional wax, it is in good solid condition and the leatherette has been newly replaced, there is a key for the locks (the top right lock is broken), joins to the top right side have been filled and there has been some veneer loss to the sides that has been filled. This desk has had the back panels polished so could be used freestanding.
