A Superb William IV Copper Coal Scuttle

Description

A high quality William IV coap coal scuttle of unusual boat shaped form. The swing handle is attached with finely cast roundels and a lovely decorative ivy leaf motif. The coal scuttle has a rolled rim and stands well on a graduated flared base. This well proportioned piece offers a generous capacity for small logs and coal. The condition is excellent, the inside and base are sturdy and the coal scuttle stands firmly on its base. An outstanding example of early 19th Century workmanship, this graceful and elegant coal scuttle will add style to any interior.
