Original turned baluster gallery;
Tooled leather writing surface (perhaps original?);
Fitted interior with two small drawers;
Original 'aide memoire' braidwork to the lid;
Hinged pen-and-ink drawer;
Two large slides, one to each side;
Three mahogany-lined drawers to one side
Raised on melon-carved feet, castors within.
The whole top slides forward for use. A lovely quality iconic piece by Gillows!
