Pallant Interiors has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The middle compartment lifts up and can be fixed at a slope for ease of writing, the outer left compartment, which has a secret drawer is for storage. The writing surface has two inset brass handles which allow it to be pulled out.
The desk stands on two large Mahogany pedestals, both with three drawers and their original brass handles. On top of the desk is a raised gallery.
