Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It has a rectangular moulded top with the original tooled leather writing insert above a long central drawer over knee hole. Each pedestal has four graduating drawers with moulded edges and brass swan neck handles. This delightful desk stands on a moulded plinth with castors. The walnut has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
