Here we have a fine quality Arts and Crafts Walnut Davenport desk c1880. As you can see the desk has super colour and patina. There is a carved top gallery rail with a Pugin influenced rose to the centre. There is a beautiful tambour front which is released via a brass button above the interior drawers. The tambour front opens to reveal pigeon holes and ink stands. There is a tooled letaher skiver to the lift up lid and two drawers inside. The top has a moulded edge and a craved frieze to the front. There is also a stunning quatered carved panel below and shaped and carved feet to original ceramic casters. There are reeded front drawers to one side and dummy drawers to the other. The drawers retain their original and beautiful handles and have handcut dovetail joints and Mahogany linings. The drawers also retain their original locks which are stamped with the V crown R cipher. A super and rare Arts and Crafts Walnut Davenport perfect for tablet or laptop use in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 36 inches high 22 wide and 21.5 deep.
