Prior and Willis has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
This is a lovely quality piece in the very best condition, that has a great colour. Later tooled leather writing surface with some wear and patina (just right).
Solid, with no loose joints.
Please note that this is a one piece desk, which stands on period brass and ceramic castors (some wear as one would expect).
The mahogany lined drawers slide freely. There are working catches on the cupboard doors.
Would look great in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions: 133cm wide, 60cm deep, 76cm high. 59.5cm high, 53cm wide, 18cm deep knee hole.
No keys and the locks are untested (the bottom three left hand and bottom two right hand keyholes are dummies, with no locks). Just a few historic, extinct woodworm holes that we have treated for good measure.
