1900. The desk has an unusual rope twist moulded edge with the original / early tooled leather writing insert above a central drawer over knee hole. Each pedestal has four graduating mahogany lined drawers with moulded edges and brass swan neck handles. The desk sits on shaped feet, is finished on all sides, so can be placed in the centre of a room if desired and has two unusual pull out writing slides for additional writing surface. It has been finished to a stunning golden oak shade with a striking grain, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
