To each side are spaces for ink wells and pen trays etc. The right hand side drawer has a catch which when released allows the well fitted boxwood secret stationary compartment to rise on a weighted counterbalance. The top lifts over to reveal a similar fret work gallery. The exterior having 4 mahogany lined drawers to the right hand side with original turned knobs, brass locks and escutcheons with opposing dummy drawers to the left side. The top supported on well carved cabriole legs and the whole standing on turned feet with sunken castors. In excellent condition with working locks and keys. Sizes:- Width...22.5''/ 57cm.
