This very elaborate, boldly carved and very striking desk has nine drawers in total, having four to each pedestal and one long central drawer.
The drawer fronts are decorated with profusely carved Lion mask with scroll and floral handles. The drawers are flanked by wonderful boldly carved caryatids with an abundance of carved fruits. These carved figures are hinged, so move as they form part of the locking system, and fit over the drawer fronts.
This is one of the most unusual and decorative desks we have acquired from this particular period.
The desk also boasts a new un-used leather top, in a light tan colour, with gold tooling.
In excellent antique condition. No Key.
Dismantles to three parts, so very easy to transport and move.
Dark oak in colour, with a good patina.
