Description
A really lovely example of a small George III chest of drawers in mahogany measuring only 32” (815mm) across the carcass. The four full-width drawers – each having a pair of solid brass swan-neck handles – are lined in solid English oak. The top, which has well-figured timbers and a rich patination, has a thumb-moulded edge. All four bracket feet and all of the backing boards are original, and there is a working key to the top drawer. This beautiful chest has an original finish and a rich colour throughout.
