Elegant early 19th Century ladies mahogany roll top desk. The cylinder top opens to reveal a lovely fitted interior with various drawers and compartments, each with a small ivory knob. The writing surface pulls out and lifts up to adjust at different angles. It stands on square tapering legs terminating with small brass castors. The whole piece is beautifully inlaid with a central shell motif on the inner compartments and contrasting edging and beading around every drawers and outer surface and down the legs. The whole piece is superb quality and the attention to detail is stunning. It is an elegant statement piece that displays beautifully and is ready for use.
