Fabulous Regency Antique Nursery Fire Guard with Rail.

This is an excellent quality, early 19th century antique brass fire guard, more unusual with having the added brass outer rail, this is used for drying clothes by the fire. In very good, original condition, all the wirework is complete and the brass top rail, brass foot trim and hanging rail are all in great condition. A lovely example, dating from the Regency period around 1820.
