Robert Bush Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It is 48” wide (122 cms) x 26” deep (66 cms) x 30” high (76”"cms) and the knee height is 23” (60 cms). It has a beautiful polished finish and a lovely colour and patina to the timber. The leather was replaced a few years ago and is a brown/red colour with gilt tooling to the edge. The leather shows no signs of wear and has no marks or blemishes.
The drawer fronts have moulded decoration to the edges and the desk has all the original brass locks and as you can see from the pictures, each drawer is edged internally in quadrant bead which is always a sign of quality. It has impressive brass drop handles and each pedestal has 4 castors.
The desk splits into 3 sections which makes moving it easy. This is a very good quality desk in great condition with no faults or problems and is ready to use.
