Victorian Burr Walnut Davenport

Description

A fine Victorian freestanding burr walnut davenport. The galleried top opens to reveal a well fitted interior for stationary and ink bottles etc. The fall which has green tooled leather opens to a maple interior consisting of 2 drawers and 2 dummy drawers and working brass lock and key. The sides with applied mouldings and burr walnut panels, the right hand side opens to reveal 4 mahogany graduated drawers with inset turned pulls. The front having decorative carved and shaped supports with open fret work and the whole standing on turned feet with sunken castors.

Height - 34.5'' / 87.5cm. Width - 23'' / 58.5cm. Depth - 23.5'' / 60cm.
