Mahogany Kidney Shaped Side Table

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1920, neat size mahogany kidney shaped side table. The top has a gilded and tooled leather writing surface and a double carved fore edge. Beneath this there is a ribbed apron around the table which follows the form and shape of the top, and a narrow drawer in the centre with an egg and dart moulding and a cast brass elongated swan neck handle. At the top of each of the legs there is a fielded panel with egg and dart beading. The table stands on 4 square tapering legs with panels formed by reeding, finishing on tall spade toes.
