This is a fine Victorian brass coal helmet retaining it''s antique finish that gives a bronzed appearance. Great for just wiping down with a duster and very low cleaning maintenance. Probably bought originally for the parlour(best room), and as such escaped the heavy usage that is usually associated with general coal helmets.
