French Mahogany and Brass Writing Desk

Description

This French mahogany writing desk in the Louis XVI style is offered in very good condition.

The desk has brass inlays and beading to the sides, front and the reeded legs.

The brass mouldings,handles and fluting have all been sympathically polished and the mahogany has been burnished to make the French polish gleam.

The desk has had a newly fitted leather top in a gilded green tooled leather.

The desk originally was a dressing table but our restoration shows no signs of its original use.

A lovely item for your office or study.
