Large Decorative Brass Log Bin C1920

1900 - 1920
Description

This decorative and large, wood-lined BRASS LOG BIN dates from circa 1920.

It is raised on four paw feet and has various, embossed scenes and motifs. The panels at either end feature a large shell on a trellis ground. The front has an image of a woodcutter fuelling a burning fire as the sun sets. The slope is decorated with armorial elements, namely a helmet, shield, mace, sword, axe and spear against a floral trellis ground with shell motifs to the corners.
