A Superb Partners' Pedestal Desk

A superb 19th century mahogany pedestal partners' desk. This wonderful example can be used as a partners' desk in the middle of a room with all elevations being finely finished; it also has the added advantage of being able to be positioned against a wall with access to all drawers from the leading partner's side. The tooled leather later inset top is old with lots of character and is in wonderful condition. The three frieze drawers and all six of the pedestal drawers – each with finely-turned knob handles – are lined in solid mahogany with one of them stamped Maple for the highly respected retailers/manufacturers of London. It breaks down exceptionally well for ease of transportation.
