Description

A very handsome Georgian mahogany tambour front writing desk with working lock and key.

The pretty interior with pigeon holes and short drawers, (one with ink well compartments) sit behind an adjustable writing slope with impressive newly fitted black leather insets over two large drawers with pretty turned knobs. The whole supported by four tapered legs on original cup castors.

A truly delightful piece of period furniture. Circa 1780.
