Solid with no loose joints and no significant woodworm.
A very attractive piece that would make a very good centre piece..
Substantial heavy turned legs on period brass castors.
Stamped JAS Shoolbred in the top right hand side drawer.
The mahogany lined drawers all slide freely (some staining inside as you would expect).
There is a key to the right hand desk top cupboard only. This does not fit the other drawer locks, which have no key and are untested.
The leather top is a later replacement, with some wear, marks and aging.
Would look great in the right location!
Splits into 3 parts for transport.
Overall maximum dimensions: 137.5cm wide, 81cm deep, 78cm high (plus 41 cm high drawer upstand on desk top), 60cm high knee hole.
As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations.
