Late Victorian Small Writing Table

19th century
Description

Circa 1880, small writing table with London retailers label for ‘Mellier & Co’ on the underside. The top has a tooled leather writing surface surrounded by stylish crossbanding, over a shaped apron with slightly rounded corners and raised fielded panels with flame mahogany. On each of the corners is a bleached mahogany panel, and the table stands on turned fluted and tapering legs finishing on raised turned toes. Neat size, good side table or writing table. (Alterations underneath.)

Size 76cm high x 92cm wide x 61cm deep.
