A fine quality late 19th Century Anglo-Indian hardwood desk, c1890. The desk is beautifully and intricately hand carved to the top, door panels and legs. The quality of the carving is very good. For instance the legs have carvings of snakes coiled around each one.

The time and workmanship involved in creating this piece is very high indeed. It has great colour/patina, consistent with its age and use. It's a useful, attractive and decorative piece of furniture.
