Description

A fine quality and large antique 19th Century oak partners desk, c1880. The desk is a great size and has good proportions, and is a very decorative and functional piece of furniture.

It is intricately carved in the Gothic/Green Man style, with lion masks and scrolling foliage etc. It stands on lovely bobbin turned supports, and has three single and one double drawer, plus a leather top edged with nice scrolled carving.

It has great colour/patina, and has aged beautifully with only minor surface wear/marks. There is slight gapping around the edge of the leather top and the locks are missing, but these are relatively minor and the desk is in great original condition - very much as you would expect from something 150 years old.
