Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a rectangular moulded top above a central drawer and over knee hole. Each pedestal has a pull out writing slide above four graduating oak lined drawers all with the original solid brass handles. The sides and back are panelled and finished so this magnificent desk may be placed in the centre of the room and it stands on castors. The oak has been finished to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
