Old Varamin Region Rug with Mina Khani Design, Circa 1920

Description

Size: 6ft 6in x 4ft 6in (197 x 138cm).

Old rug from the Varamin Region, the weavers were of Kurdish origin.

Circa 1920.

The rug has the well know large scale Mina Khani design which is typical of rugs from Varamin.

The rug has a light feel due to the very soft light indigo blue and ivory used throughout.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
