Set of Six Thomas Till English Majolica Green Leaf Plates Circa 1850

Description

This striking SET OF SIX ANTIQUE ENGLISH MAJOLICA GREEN LEAF PLATES date from circa 1850.

They bear the impressed mark 'TILL' to the back, for THOMAS TILL & SON from the Sych Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire.

The PLATES are well-defined and decorated with Strawberries, Grapes and Vine Leaves.

One of the plates has a V-shaped crack to the edge (please see photograph). There are no other cracks, chips or restoration.

Diameter: 8 inches (20 cm)
