Victorian Gothic Oak Mahogany Davenport Desk

Description

Victorian 19th Century Gothic oak and mahogany lined davenport. The desk has an old well patinated worn leather writing surface (may or may not be original). This is a quality piece of antique furniture with beautifully crafted concealed mahogany drawers. An unusual item (vary rare in oak) with really distinctive styling and compact proportions. The desk is solid with no loose joints and the drawers and doors all work as they should. The davenport may have originally had castors.

There is no key and the locks are untested.

Overall dimensions: 59cm wide, 56cm deep, 89cm high (69 to 75cm high sloping writing surface), 59cm high knee hole (54.5cm high under decorative downstand).
