Victorian 19th Century rosewood davenport writing table desk. This is a lovely quality davenport, that is full of age, charm and character. Fantastic serpentine styling with twist columns. Period brass castors (some wear).

4 active drawers (mahogany lined and slide freely) on the RHS. 4 dummy drawers on the LHS. Later leather writing surface with some wear and patina. Sliding top section to permit knee hole. No significant woodworm. Mainly veneer on mixed wood construction, as you would expect.

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. No keys and locks are consequently untested. Signs of restoration as one might expect and there is no letter writing compartment. Some stains and marks inside the drawers (to be expected).

Overall maximum dimensions: 67cm wide, 59cm deep (74cm with top slid forwards), 85cm high, 78<82cm high writing surface, 61cm high knee hole.
