American walnut large roll top desk or writing table. Marked 'Feige Desk Co. Saginaw, Mich'. This is a lovely rare quality late 19th century desk, full of charm and character.

We have a key and the roll top / drawer locking mechanism works as it should. 6 single and 1 double height drawers with original dividers. Solid with no loose joints and no significant woodworm. The desk stands on period castors (2 per pedestal) with some wear as one would expect.

The oak lined drawers slide freely (some internal staining as one would expect). This is a very rare (try to find another in walnut) roll top desk with lovely proportions. Note that this piece splits into two or more pieces for transport.

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations.

Overall maximum dimensions: 123.5cm wide, 82.5cm deep, 115.5cm high, (70cm high, 49cm wide knee hole).
