E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The flared veneered panelled cylinder having satinwood banded frame. The cylinder moves up when the writing slide is pulled out. The leather lined slide having moulded front and pentray to rear. Two drawers with banded fronts with void above flanking 6 pigeon holes with shaped divisions all having shaped arcaded tops. Five mahogany lined drawerts below again with banded edges and brass swanneck handles around the kneehole which has corner brackets. The sides having line inlays and the back having inlaid bandings. All on line inlaid square tapered legs with square cap brass castors.
