Magnificent Quality Antique Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Desk

This Magnificent Quality Antique Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Desk circa, 1860 has a rectangular moulded top with rounded corners and a burgundy tooled leather writing insert, above a long central drawer and over knee hole. Each pedestal has four graduating mahogany lined drawers with the original turned handles. This magnificent desk stands on a plain rounded plinth and the back of the desk is also finished, so may be positioned in the centre of the room if so desired, it also splits into three sections for easy removal. The mahogany has been finished to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
