Large Victorian C1880-1900 Gillows oak library writing table desk. This is a lovely quality piece, full of age, charm and character. Solid, heavy and with no loose joints... a very rare find. No woodworm.

Drawer stamped Gillows. What appears to be the original (certainly very old) thick patinated rexine top. Lovely simple styling with clean lines and magnificent gun barrel legs. The oak lined drawers slide freely (some internal staining as one would expect).

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. No keys so the locks are untested.

Overall maximum dimensions: 153cm wide, 91cm deep, 76.5cm high (58.5cm high knee hole).
