The table features a stunning rich mahogany colour. The tabletop features a lovely mahogany thumb moulded edge with bull nose corners which surrounds professional fitted new sage green, gilt & blind tool leather. Below, there are three working moulded drawers to each side of the table (six in total). All drawers feature working locks and keys and the original brass key escutcheons. The drawers are hand dovetailed and constructed with mahogany (a further sign of good quality). Below the drawers sits a lovely moulded lip edge. The table sits on four lovely baluster shaped mahogany legs. The legs feature the original brass castor tip collars and original brass castors.

This type of table was designed to stand in the centre of a room so that the three working drawers each side was accessible. This library table is a truly classic design from the mid Victorian period. All in all, this is a very pretty and superb quality table.

Condition Report:
This item is in excellent condition. The tabletop features a lovely mahogany thumb moulded edge, which surrounds professionally fitted new sage green and gold tool insert leather. There are no splits to the top, or marks, damage or stains to the leather. The wooden drawers, oak turned knobs, castors and brass collars are all original. The drawers are in excellent working order and close flush to the frame. Each drawer features a working lock and key. There are nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the table but nothing significant considering the age of the item. This table is solid in joint and ready to use.
