Dating from the Early Victorian period, ca. 1850 this Large, Rich Mahogany Antique Pedestal Desk is of superb quality.
Each pedestal has four graduating, mahogany lined drawers with cock beaded edges and beautifully turned handles. The desk sits on a shaped bracket feet and splits into three sections for ease of removal. Desks of this size and quality are not often available for sale on the open market. A modern equivalent would cost around £5k to be made to a bespoke order. This desks offers the potential buyer a chance to own an original for a fraction of the cost. It is finished to a lovely rich, shade of mahogany with a striking grain, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
