Large Edwardian Mahogany Antique Inlaid Writing Desk

This fine Large Edwardian Mahogany Antique Inlaid Writing Desk dates from ca. 1900, has a rectangular top with rounded corners and a brown tooled leather writing insert sitting above a central drawer over kneehole. Each side has two oak lined drawers, all with fine decorative 'drop' brass handles and key with working locks. The edges are all beautifully inlaid with satinwood cross banding, boxwood and ebony string inlay and the desk sits on four tapering legs with spade feet. It has aged to a lovely mellow mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
