Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It has a large rectangular top with character full green tooled leather insert above a central drawer over knee hole. The left hand side pedestal has four graduating drawers whilst the right hand side pedestal has two over one deep double drawer all with key in working locks. All the drawers have beautiful brass swan neck handles and splits into three sections for easy removal. This wonderful desk has panelled sides so may be placed in the centre of the room is so desired. The oak has aged to a medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
