This twin pedestal desk is in a wonderful elaborate classic late Victorian design.
Having seven mahogany lined drawers in total, with one central drawer and three to each pedestal. The top three drawers are particularly lovely, having very pretty foliate carved designs. With the original ornate pierced brass handles.

Above is an inset green leather writing surface, edged with elegant gold-tooling
Stamped by the maker to the right pedestal top drawer, with the makers name "JA`S Shoolbred &Co".
Standing on lovely fluted and turned supports with brass castors.

Very heavy, solid sturdy and strong, all drawers open smoothly.
The overall condition is very good, having general expected signs of use consistent with age, the leather is in good condition, with some but very minimal signs of use.

Good colour and patina, lots of warmth.
An extremely attractive desk of excellent quality.
