Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
c1890.
all locks and escutcheons are present, with quality brass swan-neck handles. Standing on a plinth base.

The centre drawers to each pedestal give the appearance of being to drawers as they have two handles but are in fact one large deep drawer, giving perfect storage for files etc.
Above is an inset tan leather gold tooled writing surface, in excellent condition.

Very solid sturdy and strong, all drawers open smoothly.
The desks sides and back are attractively panelled, so the desk could be placed in the centre of a room if required, as the back is finished.
Dismantles to three sections.

The overall condition is exceptionally good, having general expected signs of use consistent with age, the swan-neck handles appear to be replacements, but are stylistically correct for the design of the desk.

A lovely characterful desk of excellent quality.
