This small Georgian chest of drawers dates to around 1750 and is formed from warm brown mahogany with solid oak linings. The rectangular top rests above a pull-out brushing slide with two small round brass knobs, followed by four graduated drawers fitted with decorative brass swan-neck handles and pierced brass keyhole escutcheons. The whole structure has fine edge moulding to the drawer fronts and stands on shaped bracket feet. Measuring 84 cm wide, 44 cm deep and 81 cm high, this compact storage piece works well in a bedroom, hallway or living room today for holding linens, clothes or everyday household items.
